Q: |
Are your materials USP and FDA compliant? |
|
A: |
We trace all our materials to USP, NIST or use the highest quality materials available in the event that those agencies do not have appropriate material available. Our reference material meet or exceed compendial requirements. We also comply with FDA guidance on reference standards.
|
|
Q: |
Do you have a quality program? |
|
A: |
Yes! We have an extensive quality program. We are ISO 9001 registered. All of ERA’s standards and quality control (QC) standards are covered by one or more of our accreditations. Click here to view ERA's accreditations.

Q: |
Why are your conductivity standards well above the compendial <645> acceptance limits? |
|
A: |
It is a technology and stability issue. We have used NIST's formula for a stable low level standard (25 uS/cm). This standard can be used with ambient levels of carbon dioxide and is uneffected by changing conditions. This is because the standard has been pH corrected. Salt solutions such as KCl, or NaCl are significantly impacted by ambient carbon dioxide levels. This is why ASTM does not specify a solution below 146.93 uS/cm KCl. We are currently in development of lower level aqueous standards.

Q: |
Do you make custom standards? |
|
A: |
We continuously evaluate the opportunity to make specific standards. If you have a standard you would like ERA to prepare, please complete the information found here.
