PFAS
Stay current with evolving PFAS regulations
Per- and Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) are widely used in industrial and consumer products. These man-made chemicals migrate to water, air, soil, human and animal tissue, and food products and due to their chemical nature, they remain and accumulate in the environment. They have increasingly become of concern for health reasons, therefore leading to calls for more stringent regulations and monitoring. To that end, environmental testing laboratories are being asked to analyze for more species of PFAS at lower concentrations.
PFAS Secondary Source Standards
The scarcity of PFAS standard suppliers poses a challenge for laboratories. To circumvent this challenge, laboratories can create their own standards, but this process can be time-consuming and prone to errors. Waters ERA’s NEW STANDARDS address both challenges by providing a reliable secondary source for routine quality control as a straightforward solution for verification without the need for additional dilutions. With a comprehensive list of EPA Method 1633 and 533/537 analytes, our standards ensure thorough verification at concentrations precisely calibrated to match PFAS method calibration curves.
